Ten Transport, Inc. Quality Guarantee
We are committed to delivering wind and watertight used containers, ensuring peace of mind for our customers from order to delivery.
Storage or transportation of your valuable items should be free from water or moisture leakage. Although our containers are exceptionally durable, the seals, doors, and floors may gradually degrade over time due to usage and exposure to the elements. We are dedicated to ensuring that our containers meet strict quality standards, providing you with peace of mind from ordering to usage. Therefore, all our containers come with a standard Quality Guarantee. This means that each container is carefully inspected by container quality experts before being made available for sale.
Furthermore, this guarantee includes a check at delivery, during which you will inspect the container alongside the truck driver and fill out the Quality Inspection Form. We assure you that any defects within the Ten Transport, Inc. Container Quality will be repaired at no cost to you. The Ten Transport, Inc. Container Quality is subject to the conditions outlined on this page and the general terms and conditions.
What is covered by this guarantee?
The guarantee applies to all shipping containers purchased from Ten Transport, Inc. Containers and covers material and construction defects that affect the wind- and watertight integrity of the container.
The container is wind & watertight
We ensure that all containers maintain the wind- and watertight integrity so you can safely store and transport goods. Please note:
• Surface rust is common on used shipping containers. All rust is hammer-tested prior to delivery. Rusty pinholes and thinning steel are repaired with an overlay patch, extending beyond the affected area.
• Scratches and dents are common on used shipping containers. Dents should not exceed 4 inches inward or outward.
The seals are intact
The door seal gaskets secure the wind and water tightness of the moving door parts of the shipping container. Therefore;
• The door gaskets will show no daylight from the interior of the container outward.
• The retainer strip holding the door gaskets will be intact and secured.
The floor is intact and in good condition
All container floors are inspected to ensure they are intact, providing a secure environment for storing and transporting goods. This means:
• Flooring will not be broken or show holes, especially through to the undercarriage.
• Delamination may be present but will not exceed multiple layers. The floor should not be flexing or "spongy."
• Holes and excessive delamination will be repaired with a wooden or steel plate.
• Cross members are checked in conjunction with flooring. No broken welds should be present, and the cross member should remain flush with the flooring.
The doors on the container open & close
For properly placed and leveled containers, you can expect:
• The doors to be able to be fully opened and peeled back.
• Container doors might be heavier than you expect; however, they should open without maximum effort involved. For more information on how to properly place your container, please contact our office at

The door hardware has no malfunctions
To close and lock the container from outside elements, you can expect:
• The lock rods to be able to rotate open and close, in order to lock or unlock the latch cams from their keepers.
• Rods may be bent or have slight damage; however, they should be fully functional to open and close container doors.• The door handle is able to be set inside the handle.
